With the support of local artists, community members will be encouraged to create a portrait of themselves to be displayed as part of a large and curated installation that will feature the work, faces, and creations of the community.
Pieces will be scanned as part of the project with originals going back to their creator and with the City of Waterloo retaining rights to reproduce the work as a print for display purposes. By timing the exhibit in conjunction with Canada’s sesquicentennial, the project offers an opportunity for the community to celebrate its present as well as its past and future. Program outcomes
