MONTHLY MEETINGS We get together regularly each month where we create, connect and welcoming guest speakers who will share their knowledge, work and experience as connectors in the Waterloo Region and beyond. This season we'll be meeting the first Wednesday of each month at 44 Gaukel in Kitchener. For details and exceptions make sure you check out the meetings page! Meetings are free for members. Guests are welcome for a cost of $5 |
MEMBER DIRECTORY Once a year, members will have the opportunity to submit an image, short statement and contact information to be included in the online member gallery and directory. This directory will allow visitors to explore our artists, learn about our community and then follow your links to learn more about you and your practice. The Member Directory is not intended to be an Artist website or main point of contact. Instead it's a directory to point visitors to more information and larger collection. |
OPPORTUNITIES We actively create opportunities to show, learn, create and connect. These activities, workshops, shows & events are open to all KWSA Members and will have a small cost to participate. Members are encouraged to stay active and informed by signing up for the newsletter and participating in meetings, shows and events! Have an idea for an activity, field trip of event... send us your ideas and we'll see what we can do! |
KWSA MembershipKWSA is a community for ALL Visual Artists. Professional? Student? Hobbyist? No matter what your background or discipline, all are welcome to join our group!
Almost 100 Years... In June 1931, following an advertisement placed in the Kitchener Record, a group of artists held their first meeting together and the “Art Society of Kitchener” was born. Why would you join? Well... The number one reason to be a KWSA member is because of the incredible networking, collaboration and connections you will make! Plus, while each season is different, we will always strive to create an exciting and dynamic community where you can connect, create and play. This may include but is not limited to Member Meetings, a variety of Activities & Events and Member Shows & Collections. |
