MONTHLY MEETINGS

This season we meet the first Wednesday of the month at the KW Art Gallery. (Check link below for details and exceptions!)

​We'll be creating, connecting and welcoming guest speakers who will share their knowledge, work and experience as a Creator and Connectors in the Waterloo Region.

While monthly meetings are for members... Guests are welcome for a cost of $5 and GRACe Members are welcome for no cost.

WORKSHOPS, ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

These will be scheduled in advance or as interest, opportunities and leaders emerge from within the group.

Past activities include Paint Nights (with dinner), painting in a Lavender field and participating in community festivals.

​What's next? That's up to you!

Activities will often be coordinated by and for members. Depending on the nature of the activity there will be a minimal cost. When appropriate, non-members will be invited to participate.

ONLINE MEMBER DIRECTORY

Once a year, members will have the opportunity to submit an image, short statement and contact information to be included in the online member gallery and directory.

This directory will allow visitors to explore our artists, learn about our community and then follow your links to learn more about you and your practice. 

The Member Directory is not intended to be an Artist website or main point of contact. Instead it's a directory to point visitors to more information and larger collection.

MEMBER SHOWS & COLLECTIONS

And of course we're showing our work! We coordinate a number of opportunities to display and show work across the Waterloo Region. This includes coffee shops, performance venues and galleries. We will do our best to find opportunities for our members and, if you have connections to help our shows... please let us know!

New for this season! A special partnership with Grand River Artists Collective will allow KWSA members to participate in Juried Shows and collections! These opportunities will be announced through our Newsletter.

2024 / 2025 Membership is $40*

​​​We're a community organization only as strong as our membership and volunteers! 

​We need everyone's help to succeed! When applying please consider how you might be able to contribute through a minimum of (3+) hours of KWSA volunteer time.

*Before October 2nd Early Bird Membership is $35

Note: Based on history and past membership with KWSA, 'Lifetime Members' may be exempt from the membership fee, volunteer hours and meeting attendance. 'Lifetime Members' must still complete the membership application and each year.

KWSA Members should be active in our organization. This includes staying connected by reading the email newsletter, attending meetings and participating in shows and activities.

Alternatively, you can bring a cheque to a meeting and chat with one of our executive members and we'll fill out your application on the spot!
