Nancy Peng and Salomé Pérez will be teaching a free workshop on expressionistic portrait drawing at the John M. Harper branch on Saturday June 18th 2-4pm.
This is in collaboration with the City of Waterloo for the “We are Waterloo Portrait Project”, and with the support of the Laurelwood Neighbourhood Association. According to their website, the goal for this project is “to create connections between arts, culture, community, and identity while promoting the diversity in Waterloo.” The completed artworks will be part of an exhibit in conjunction with Canada’s 150th anniversary. Quotation Inspiration Featuring Mary Guillaume, Julie Krahule, Valerie O'Flynn, and Laurie Spieker Opening reception is Saturday, March 26th from 2 to 4 pm. In this new show, Mary Guillaume, Julie Krahule, Valerie O’Flynn and Laurie Spieker explore the space, meaning and content found between the quote marks that punctuate text, speech, reality, popular culture and the imagination. Was this passage important? Did that notation inspire? Is this adage relevant? Visit our show and rediscover the potent power of the Quote.
