Living in Southern Ontario, I retired from a career in Medicine in 2017. As a physician, I became interested in the power of art, writing and meditation as an avenue for both self-discovery and the treatment of patients suffering from anxiety and depression. I attended workshops in Expressive Arts as Therapy under the direction of Natalie Rogers in 1997.

Continuing in the Expressive Arts tradition, I create abstract art with soft pastels, collage and acrylics. I began my study of print-making with Dan Weldon and now create abstract monoprints with intaglio inks. Upon retirement I began quilting, more recently creating some of my own designs. Photographing garden florals, conservation forests and landscapes in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, became a wonderful escape from isolation.
I have taken painting and photography courses at the Dundas Valley School of Art and I am participating in their 2023 Auction. I am a new member of the KWSA and have work in the “Shades of Women” 2023 Kitchener Library Gallery exhibit, as well as Quilts on display at the 2023 WEFT Fest in St. Jacob’s. I am a new member of the Button Factory Arts, and a member of their “Open Studio” for print-makers. I will be facilitator for an Expressive Arts Program there this spring.
