With soft pastels or acrylics, I like to explore new ways to express my artistic ideas.  Using my own photos, my imagination comes to play in choosing colours to enhance and compliment or change references to the local colour and design of the images.  Sometimes I like to design imaginary scenes such as farm scenes or aerial views of the countryside.

My Garden Lily is an acrylic mixed media painting on a nature-related theme. I like to paint the natural world and my impressions of nature vary from imaginative versions to more realistic portrayals but always with the effects of light and shadow in mind.

Ontario has always been my home mostly in the K-W area.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (studio specialization) from the University of Waterloo in 1993 as a mature student.

My work has been recognized in many juried shows including some of those sponsored by Pastel Artists Canada where I have been awarded Signature Status, Paint Ontario at the Lambton County Heritage Museum and Gallery in Grand Bend, The K-W Society of Artists, and previously at the Central Ontario Art Association and the Insights Show at the Wellington County Gallery in  Elora among others.
