Elaine Scott
I have been ‘taking pictures’ with a variety of cameras for most of my life. However, when I retired from nursing in 2009, I expressed an interest in learning more about photography so my husband enrolled me in an introductory course to facilitate my understanding of how the camera works and to learn about the various settings and buttons. This was with Trina Koster Studios in Guelph. One thing led to another and a few months later we ended up participating in a week of interesting photographic opportunities in Cuba.
Travelling, cooking delicious food and spoiling my grandchildren are the focus of my life now. My husband and I enjoy exploring new and old places in the world and photography is becoming more and more important to effectively capture what we see when we travel.
Thanks to more courses from Trina Koster, I am gradually learning the many facets of photography. Currently, I feel I am in my ‘water’ phase and enjoy trying to capture that elusive silky effect so desired by landscape photographers.
I am currently part of a group called Wellington Artists and a member of Kitchener Waterloo Society of Artists (KWSA).
