Encaustic Impression

Homer Watson House & Gallery

When she began painting Ann Harvey started with florals, and landscapes. Next came mixed media and her art took a new turn and became more abstract and experimental and the colours more vivid. Experimenting with new products on paper, board or canvas became great fun. At the same time she also started travelling. Now it is a passion of hers to paint a series of pictures after each trip using paper, canvas or board. Recently she discovered the art of painting with wax (encaustic) and has been pursuing this very enthusiastically. Most of her colours are mixed in her studio.

Her home studio is always set up and ready for painting.
