The Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists (KWSA), in collaboration with Homer Watson House & Gallery, was pleased to announce this Annual Juried show of Artworks. Opening Reception: Sunday, February 10, 2013 from
2:00pm to 4:00pm and the "Meet The Artist" event: Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

My work is based on lived experience. This wetlands suite of large mixed media acrylic on canvas paintings features the Elsinore Swamp located just north of Southampton. My summers are spent teaching and plein air painting in this area. The marsh provides such variety of texture that I find It necessary to use a limited palette for each piece as I attempt to capture mood or temperature.
