Phyllis Didur
Phyllis paints seasonal colours and shapes and the play of light and shadows found in nature. She strives to inspire viewers with her paintings of landscapes and flowers. Her favorite mediums are watercolour and acrylics. Her style is more realistic than abstract
Over the years she has exhibited her paintings at WCAC (Button Factory), COAA, KWSA, KPL, Kuntz House, Elora Arts Centre, and Kitchener Law Library. Her paintings hang in private collections in Ontario, Manitoba, British Columbia, California, and England. Images of her paintings have appeared on commercial greeting cards in Canada and the US.
Phyllis began painting after retiring from teaching. Primarily she is self-taught but has taken courses at various workshops both in Canada and Europe. She has served on the executive of KWSA and on committees for WCAC. She is an active member of Colour Wheel (a group of 5 female painters).
