Membership Info
Membership benefits include:
- Opportunity to enter your artwork into our annual exhibits. (at least 3 shows organized by KWSA)
- Discounts at participating art stores in KW area
- Attend monthly meetings - demonstrations of techniques, professional business discussions etc.
- Workshop Discounts
- Notice of Calls for Artists opportunities via membership emails each month
- Networking with and learning from other Artists in the KW area
- Website presence. Each member is able to have their own member's page on our website to showcase examples of their art and provide a link to your website or contact information. This is a free service for our members. Please check the website profile information page.
- Notices regarding artwork call to entry and potential commissioned works
- Access to the members only area of the website where we share further discussions in the Forum
- Member's only blog, and various archived helpful articles for learning and professional development.
- Networking and interacting with fellow artists
Eligibility for Membership:
- Fully paid annual fees (see the fees explained below) (exempted for Life Members)
- Completed required hours of KWSA volunteer work or serving in a leadership role for KWSA (exempted for Life Members)
- Attendance at a minimum of 5 meetings (in person or via zoom) (Consideration given in the case of issues related with mobility and health issues) -- Life members are exempt from attendance and volunteering
Membership Fees
- Our membership year runs from September to June.
- Membership fees are due by the September meeting (the first Tuesday night of September.)
- Members that have not renewed by the November meeting will be removed from the mailing list and website.
Yearly Membership Dues
- Regular Member - $30.00
- Senior Member (65+) - $20.00
- Student (Under 21) - $15.00
- Lifetime Member - NO FEE
To become a KWSA member:
- Fill out the membership form online
- OR download the PDF file and send the completed form via email the form to KWSAmembership@gmail.com
- OR send the printed form to the mailing address below, OR you can bring it to your first monthly KWSA meeting.

Membership payment methods.
- Cheque: Please make your cheque payable to KWSA and send it to the mailing address above OR bring it to your first monthly KWSA meeting
- E-transfer: Please send your email transfer to KWSAmembership@gmail.com and indicate KWSA 2324 in the message section.
VOLUNTEERING:
One of the requirements for the membership is to volunteer at least 3 hours of your time in a year in the area of choice. Please fill out the online Volunteering Form.
If you prefer to fill out the printed form, then please download Volunteer form and after filling the sections, bring it with you to the monthly meeting. (you can update and change your volunteering preferences during your membership period).
